Texas Fury Volleyball Club

Texas Fury came to me out of necessity! They had created their original site on one of those “FREE” team sites. Free always sounds good until you learn of the limits these types of services place on your site. These sites completely limit your design controls. You may have the opportunity to pick a different layout, but it is more likely you will be stuck with a standard layout and only be given the ability to manage the colors within your pages. These sites then have the nerve to make money off of your users by placing ugly ads ALL over your site. Not only are they taking the potential money you could make from your own site, but they disgrace your pages with hideous banners and text.

With all of this being said Kristina Thompson, the club owner, came to me wanting a brand new site to provide the functionality she needed for her current players as well as reach out to new ones. I was allowed to reconstruct her current site from scratch while designing a new team logo. I was very pleased to have the free reign to work on this project and was excited that she loved the finished product.

A little more information on Texas Fury

“If you are looking for a very competitive and affordable Volleyball Club, where you don’t have to travel out of our beautiful state, Texas Fury Volleyball Club may just be the Club for you! Texas Fury’s mission is to create a Christian “Family – like” environment, where our athletes can build stronger self confidence, greatly improve their volleyball skills, become more passionate about the game of volleyball, obtain unified team dynamics and gain an appreciation for good sportsmanship. We motivate our athletes to set realistic team and individual goals and to strive to achieve those goals throughout the season. We aim to create a desire in each of our athletes to succeed and excel in every area of their life.”

Club History

Texas Fury Volleyball Club began with just one single team a few years ago. A mom had a very talented young volleyball player who wanted to play Club, but did not want to pay the high prices of Club Volleyball. This mom decided to start up her own team for her daughter and called it Texas Fury. More girls and parents became interested in Texas Fury, and couple more teams formed over the few years. The mom and daughter who started Texas Fury eventually moved on, and the daughter ended up with a full ride scholarship to Texas State University! Where would we all be without such devoted parents who love their children this much? One of the coaches of Texas Fury, Kristina Thompson decided to take the Club on as a larger Volleyball Club. She was so passionate about coaching her girls and being able to provide the same financial opportunity for young athletes and their families. Texas Fury Volleyball Club now has grown much larger and continues to grow each year!
